The Arcade Hotel was a hotel in Ballarat East, Victoria, <1855-1856>.

The hotel had several different names of the years[1]:

The hotel was on the south east corner of York Street and Dodd Street, Ballarat. Hargreaves describes it as being at the base of Red Hill, and one of the liveliest places in the "digging days."[1]

The People[edit | edit source]

  • In 1855 the publican was G. King.[1] (In September 1857, George King, was granted a license for a hotel on this site.[2]
  • In 1856 F. P. Mansfield is listed as publican in the Geelong, Ballarat and Creswick's Creek Directory.[3]
