If taken on lease it will, at once, be put into thorough good order ; and any improvements suggested by the tenant would be adopted. The situation is salubrious, has a most commanding view ; and there is a well stocked garden ; which might easily be converted into extensive pleasure grounds. The house contains on ground floor 2 parlors each 15 x 15. Dining room 20 x 15. 4 sitting rooms. On first floor Dining room 14 x 14. Handsome drawing room 24 X 24 opening on to balcony. 10 bed rooms. On second floor 8 bed rooms. All the rooms, which are lofty, are plastered, ceiled, and papered; and a verandah and balcony surround three sides of the House. The out premises are extensive, with 14 stalled stable, cart shed, hay shed, piggeries, fowl house, &c., &c. Adjoining the House is a commodious cottage, which could be leased with the house. For further particulars apply to W. B. WILDEY & CO., Wine and Spirit Merchants, Sturt street, Ballarat.[4]

On 22 March 1915, the hotel was included on a list of hotels to be deprived of their licenses. This list was complied by the Licenses Reduction Board in Melbourne. Licensing district hearings for hotels on this list were to be held at the Ballarat Supreme Court on 11 May.[2]
