The hotel was offered for lease in April 1860:

TO BE LET-The BURRUMBEET HOTEL, with 150 acres of fine agricultural land, fronting the Burrumbeet Lake, For particulars apply to WILLIAM EAVES, Armstrong street.[2]

The hotel was offered for sale in April 1872 and was described as being of a dozen rooms, with stables for 20 horses, plus shedding and piggery.[3]
