The Cosmopolitan Hotel was in Lydiard Street.[1]

History[edit | edit source]
On 22 March 1915, the hotel was included on a list of hotels to be deprived of their licenses. This list was complied by the Licenses Reduction Board in Melbourne. The Ballarat West licensing district hearings on this list were to be held on 27 April.[1]

The People[edit | edit source]
- In March 1888 the court transferred the license from Isaac Jonas to his wife Esther Jonas, as he would be absent from the colony for three months.[2]
- In June 1889 the license was transferred to M. Cohen.[3]
- In December 1895 the license was transferred from Simeon Cohen (owner) to Simeon Cohen.
- In November 1898 the license was transferred from Simeon Cohen to Lewis Cohen.[4]
