In December 1882 the publican's license was issued with a warning:

An objection was also raised against John Champion, of the Crown hotel, obtaining renewal, on the ground that he was convicted a little while ago of being drunk on his own premises. The magistrates granted the renewal, at the same time cautioning the licensee regarding future behavior.[3]

In September 1884 the publican, Mark Shea, was fined 20s with 2s 6d costs for Sunday trading.[4]

  • In December 1871, the application for a publican's license by S. C. Frazer was withdrawn "owing to informality".[5]
  • In December 1876 the publican's license was granted to A. Lawler.[6]
  • In December 1882 the publican, John Champion, had his license renewed with a warning.[3]
  • In December 1883 the publican's license was granted to Mark Shea.[7]
    • It was renewed in December 1886.[1]
