In June 1864 Marsh held the license for the Soho Hotel in Urquhart Street.[1]
His son William married in October 1879:
MARSH—RABY.—On the 7th October, at the residence of the bride, by the Rev. H. Bath, William H. Marsh, youngest son of Mr Daniel Marsh, Soho Hotel, to Bessie, eldest daughter of Mr John Raby; both of Ballarat.[2]
