Dent's Hotel was a hotel in Ballarat, <1857>.

Site[edit]

The hotel was in Lydiard Street, Ballarat.[1]

Background[edit]

The hotel was probably named for its publican, Robert Burrell Dent.

It is possible that this is another name for the Golden Fleece Hotel, in Lydiard Street, which had been open since 1854. Dent was the publican of the Golden Fleece in 1858.
