Franklinford

Franklinford is a small community about 12kms north of Daylesford.

European settlement began in the area when Edward Parker established the Loddon Aboriginal Protectorate Station at the foot of Mount Franklin in January 1841. The Station was closed in 1864 and the Aboriginal people were forcibly relocated.[1]
