The police raided the hotel in August 1886:

Yesterday the Gong Gong hotel was visited, and the proprietor will be summoned for a breach of the Sunday trading clause of the Licensing Act.[2]

  • In December 1873 the license was granted to David Parry Mustow.[1] (Middle name misspelled as "Barry" in the newspaper).
