In December 1900, the publican of the Corindhap Hotel organized a cycle race to the Halfway Hotel and back:

On Saturday afternoon a bicycle road race took place here, the track being from Corindhap through Rokewood to M'Lennan’s Half-way hotel, Warrambine, and back, about 21 miles. The road was very heavy, being much, cut up with heavy traffic...The distance was covered, by the winner in 1 hour 12½ min...The first prize was £2 10s, the second a silver-mounted pipe, value 15s. The race was arranged by Mr Sheehan, of the Corindhap hotel, who also provided an excellent repast for the cyclists and their friends.[1]
