Community Involvement[edit | edit source]

  • In February 1873 the hotel was the venue for an auction of forfeited shares in the Anderson's Freehold Gold Mining Company.[3]


The People[edit | edit source]

  • In December 1871, William Hamilton had his license renewed.[1]
  • In December 1878 the license was granted to W. Sharp.[4]
    • His license was renewed in December 1879, 1881 and 1883.[5]Hotel name spelled as Hamiltown Hotel.[6][2]
