James Jones was a publican in the Ballarat district, <1872-1877>.

History[edit | edit source]

Jones was granted a publican's license for Bungaree in March 1872, however the hotel was not named.[1]

In December 1873, Jones was granted a license for the Bungaree Waggoners' Arms.[2]

In December 1877 he was granted the license for the Racecourse Hotel, in Black Swamp Road, near Bungaree.[3] This was renewed in December 1880.[4]
