The hotel was in Durham Lead.[1] This is probably the hotel mentioned as being at Buninyong in 1862.[2]

The hotel was offered for sale in January 1865:

FRIDAY, 6th JANUARY. Capital Investment for a Man and his Wife. Jamieson's Hotel, Durham. J. S. CARVER has received instructions to sell by auction, on the premises, at the Durham, on Friday, 6th January, at 12 o'clock. The above hotel, containing bar, bar parlors, two bed-rooms, kitchen, and stable. Jamieson's hotel is situated in the Enfield paddock, directly opposite the Garibaldi; the house is erected on leased land, and the purchaser will have the option of removing the premises at the termination of the lease.
