The Junction Hotel was a hotel in Blackwood, Victoria, <1874-1882>.

The hotel was in Barry's Reef, about 2.5kms north of Blackwood.[1][2]
Background[edit | edit source]
There were two Junction Hotels licensed at the Blackwood Licensing Court in December 1877. This one was at Barry's Reef and the other was about 2.5kms south of Blackwood, halfway to Greendale.

Community Involvement[edit | edit source]
- In January 1875 the hotel was the venue for an inquest into the death of James Graham.[3]
The People[edit | edit source]
- In December 1874, James Cole was granted the license for the hotel.[4]
- In January 1875 the hotel was referred to as Coles' Junction Hotel.[3]
- In December 1876 and 1877 the license was granted to J. Cole.[1][2]
- In January 1879 the license was transferred from James Cole to Richard Googe.[5]
- In December 1879, 1880 and 1881, Richard Googe renewed the license.[6][7][8]
- In June 1882 the license was transferred from Richard Goodge to Simeon Goodge; Richard moved to the Ballarat Hotel at Barry's Reef.[9]
