In May 1859 called for tenders to erect machinery:

Quartz. Quartz. Quartz. TENDERS will be received at the claim of the Last Chance Mining Company, at the rear of the Lord Nelson Hotel, from persons willing to Erect Machinery for two quartz claims, on shares, or otherwise. Particulars as to area of ground, &c., can be ascertained on application at the claims. Ballarat, 28th April, 1859.[1]
