Ward was the publican of the Beaufort Hotel in Eyre Street in <1863-1864>.[1][2]

Her husband, William Ward, died at Mount Blackwood, in June 1867:

On the 2nd June, at Mount Blackwood, Mr William Ward, aged 42 years, husband of Mrs Ward, Beaufort Hotel, Ballarat.[3]
