Mac's Hotel was a hotel in Dean, Victoria, <1861-1891>.

The hotel was in Dean.[1] It is shown on the 1880 Creswick Goldfields map.[2] Early reports in 1861 gave the locality as Bullarook.[3]

The hotel was referred to as Mack's Hotel in the 1860s.[3]


History[edit | edit source]

The hotel was refused a license in May 1891:

A Licensing Court was subsequently held, when Mr Foster, P.M., refused to transfer the license of Mac’s hotel, at Dean, from John Walsh to Robert Anderson (a Ballarat miner), the application being strongly opposed by Inspector Hamilton.[4]
