History[edit | edit source]
The hotel's license was reviewed by the Licenses Reduction Board in February 1912.[1]
Mr Young announced that he had been instructed by the owner and licensee (Mr. Wm. Dickman), of the Main Lead Hotel, Main Lead, to inform the Board that for family reasons he did not oppose the deprivation of the license. The evidence in this case was taken the previous day.[2]
The result of the hearing was that the hotel was to be closed.[3]

- In December 1884 the license was granted to Elizabeth McLennan.[4]
- In December 1896 the publican's license was granted to William Dickman.[5]
