Mary J. Mallen held the license for the Grand National Hotel in Armstrong Street, Ballarat.

In October 1891 the license was transferred from William Mallen to Mary J. Mallen.[1]

BOWES—MALLEN - On the 1st March, at the bride’s residence, Grand National hotel, Armstrong street, by the Rev. Scott-Millar, Alfred Bowes to Mary Isabella, second daughter of William Mallen, both of Ballarat.[2]

In July 1892 she made an application to transfer the license, but it was withdrawn.[3]

In September 1892, she transferred the license to Ellen Ingram.[4]
