The Miner's Right Hotel was a hotel in Ballarat, <1857-1859>.

The hotel was on the Miners' Right Lead[1], at Mount Pleasant.[2] This would place it somewhere near the current Leith Street bridge.[3]

The hotel was offered for sale in August 1857:

To Capitalists, Wine and Spirit Merchants, Publicans and Others. A first-rate opportunity and certain fortune. THE MINER'S RIGHT HOTEL, A. P. BOWES is favored with instructions from the proprietor, to submit to public competition, at the premises, on Monday, 17th August, at one o'clock,That well known and substantial building, in excellent order, The Miner's Right Hotel With stabling, and other out-houses, situated at the Miner's Right Lead, all of which occupy a good position, and doing a first class business ; in the event of the above being disposed of, the purchaser can have the stock in trade and furniture at a valuation. The Auctioneer deems comment unnecessary, and invites the attendance of purchasers to a sure fortune. Terms, liberal, declared at sale. Luncheon provided.[1]

  • In June 1857 the license was granted to Thomas Stewart.[2]
    • His license was renewed in June 1858 and May 1859.[4][5]
