October 1868, Ballarat District Court:

Mr Purcell applied for a transfer of the license of J. Grundyman to Albert Goy, for the Nugget hotel. Mr Stoker opposed the application on behalf of the landlord, Inspector Beaver also opposing. Postponed till Thursday.[1]

One week later:

Application.—Mr Purcell renewed an application on behalf of Albert Goy, for the transfer of a publican's license from the Saxe Coburg hotel to the Nugget hotel. Mr Stoker appeared to oppose, but it was held he had no locus standi. The application was granted.[2]
