In June 1859, the publican asked for a refund of his rates:
Mr Judd, of the Old American Hotel, attended, and asked the Council to remit his rates as he had received notice to remove. The Council declined to accede to the application.[1]

The People[edit | edit source]
- In July 1857, George King applied for a license, but the application was postponed as the hotel had not been inspected.[2]
- In June 1859 the publican was Mr. Judd.[1]
