Peter Connellan was born c.1824, son of Thomas Connellan and Bridget Griffin.

Peter Connellan was the publican of the Bush Inn at Navigators, Victoria, from at least December 1871 to December 1885.

Notice of application for a publican’s license - I, PETER CONNELLAN, of Navigators, do hereby give NOTICE that I desire to obtain, and will at the next Licensing Meeting APPLY for, a PUBLICAN’S LICENSE for a house situate at Navigators, to be known as the Bush Inn, containing 4 rooms, exclusive of those required for the use of the family. The 8th day of December, Ad. 1871.

He married Margaret Duggan. They had several children including:

The funeral of Mrs Margaret Connellan, relict of Mr Peter Connellan, of Navigators, and a resident of that place for 42 years, took place yesterday. The remains of the deceased were interred in the Ballarat Old Cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended. Messrs M. M'Cormack, P. Sharkey, M. Gleeson, and G. J. Clark acted as coffin bearers; and the pall-bearers were Messrs A. W. Hager, O. Hager, W. Cooper, P. Brosnan, J. Davis, P. Butler, P. Morris, and W. Kenna. The service at the grave was conducted by the Rev. Father Kerrin. Mr Steve Wellington was the undertaker.
