Robert McClymont was a publican in Bungaree, 1884-1890.
History[edit | edit source]
In December 1884 McClymont was granted the license for the Grand Junction Hotel at Bungaree.[1]
In February 1888 McClymont took over the license of the Morning Star Hotel at Bungaree from Bridget Callinan.[2][3] He died at the hotel on 21 February 1890:
It will be learned with regret that Mr Robert M’Clymont, of the Morning Star hotel, Bungaree Junction, died somewhat suddenly yesterday. The funeral will take place tomorrow, at 1 o’clock, and the remains will be interred in the Ballarat New Cemetery.[4]
