  • In 1860 the publican's license was granted to Hugh Black.[1]
    • His license was renewed in June 1861.[3]
  • In 1862 the publican was Jens Jenson.[4]
  • In 1863 the publican, Henry Lugg had his license refused:
Henry Lugg's application for a license for the Royal Hotel Clunes, was refused in consequence of the complaints that had been made about the manner in which the house had been conducted. The applicant had been summoned twice within the last month. Both cases were then dismissed with a caution, but he was told at the time that they would be considered on licensing day.[5]
  • In 1864 the publican J. Black had his license hearing postponed for a week so that repairs to the building could be carried out.[6]
  • In August 1871 the license was transferred from M. Prescott to her father.[7]
  • In December 1871 the license was granted to W. Prescott.[8]
