History[edit | edit source]

In August 2018 the former publican, Trevor John McNeight, pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape dating back to an incident at the hotel in September 2004.[1] McNeight claimed the incident was consensual sex, not rape. After a seven day trial, he was found not guilty and acquitted.[2]
