Hi Bertie I have uploaded a picture of the Imperial hotel Hummfray street Ballarat taken in 1912 I wanted to substitute it for the generic picture on the front of the page for that hotel. But I am unable to do that. I did get into a template and listed the image I uploaded.

Thanks will await you. I have put a file up called ImperialMainHommfrayMurphy2.jpg and edited the filename in the infobox template where the image has to go instead of the generic house image. I see my image in preview but it is not appearing in web mode.

I now see what was wrong. You tried to change the master template, which could have added the Imperial photo to every hotel page. What you should do is upload the file, which you did successfully, and then add the file name on the specific hotel page, in this case the Imperial Hotel. This will replace the generic place holder image with the uploaded image for that page. The photo is great, thanks for sharing.--Bertie (talk) 01:26, 22 February 2018 (UTC)

Hi My great, great, great grandfather was the licencee of the Lord Nelson hotel in Main St - William Frederick Pleydell (Snr). His son WFP Jnr is credited (in his 1923 'Age' obituary) as the builder of the Ballarat Railway Station - Ian Pleydell
