The publican advertised in April 1855, about two horses which had been left at the hotel:
WATSON'S HOTEL, Meredith, 17th April 1855 - left at the stabled of the undersigned on Thursday, 29th March. a 4-year old dark bay Mare. D/WC near shoulder, about 16½ hands high; and a ches nut Colt, branded FW off shoulder, star on forehead, about 15 hands high. If not claimed and expenses paid within fourteen days, they will be sold to defray expenses.[1]
