William Harris was a publican in Ballarat, <1872-1874.

Harris took over the license for the Town Hall Hotel in Armstrong Street, Ballarat, from William Redfern Watson in July 1872.[1][2][3]

Harris died at the hotel on 20 August 1874:

HARRIS.— On the 20th day of August, 1874, at the Town-hall Hotel, Armstrong street, William Harris, aged 52, native of Devonshire, England. Home papers please copy.[4]

After his death his wife, Harriet, took over the hotel. She sold it back to William Redfern Watson in September 1875.[5]
