William Jarvis was born c.1805.[1]

Jarvis was the publican of the Stony Rises Hotel in Elaine.[1]

Jarvis died at the hotel on 8 June 1871[2]:

Jarvis—On Thursday, the 8th June, at his residence, Stony Rises Hotel, Elaine, William Jarvis, aged 66 years. Deeply regretted. The funeral will move from his late residence at 11 o'clock; this day. Friends wili please accept this intimation.[1]

He is buried in the Meredith Cemetery:

After his death, his wife took over the license for the hotel.
